2012 Poster Contest
“A Fun & Friendly Place to Shop For Healthy Food”
Age Categories & Prizes:
Adult (18 and older) 1st Prize $250
Highschool 9th-12th 1st Prize $100
Middleschool 6th-8th 1st Prize $50
Gradeschool 2nd-5th 1st Prize $25
Size Requirements: * High School & Older 11 x 17
*Middle&GradeSchool 81⁄2×11
Rules & Guidelines: * Artwork MUST be an original, hand-‐done creation and not copied from any other medium; photographs and computer generated artwork will not be accepted
* Open to all mediums including but not limited to oils, acrylics, chalk, pastels, colored pencil, charcoal, watercolor
* One entry per person
* Artwork must include “Lane County Farmers Market”
* Artwork must encompass theme “A Fun & Friendly Place to Shop For Healthy Food”
* Poster must be accompanied with signed application (parental signature/consent required on all entries under 18 years of age)
* Do not include any names on the artwork; posters will be assigned a number with entry form
* Deadline April 28th, 2012
* Poster may be dropped off at the following locations:
* Lane County Farmers Market office located at 150 Shelton McMurphey Blvd., Suite 204 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
*Starting April 7th, Saturday Farmers Market information booth located at 8th & Oak
* Up to 6 Finalists will be chosen from each age
* Poster will be displayed at the Lane County Farmers Market information throughout the month of May
* Friends, family and the community at large may vote on their favorite posters every Saturday throughout the entire month of May by placing a change in a jar of the poster of their chose
* All proceeds will be donated to the Farm to School program headed by Willamette Farm & Food Coalition
* Community voting ends May 26 at 12 pm
* Winners and prized to be announced and presented by Mayor Kitty Piercy at the market on May 26th at 1 pm
